METRO
Rails & Tube Trains
In every developed country role of conventional rails, high speed rails (HSR) and tube trains (metro) is significant. Improved technologies have got into these types of trains to enhance the connectivity with a fast and efficient transportation system across the states and countries at competitive costs. It promises to transform travel within the cities.
High Speed Rails have speeds typically ranging from 200 to 350 kilometres per hour, requiring dedicated tracks and advanced signalling system, mostly found in hi-tech driven countries. However, for moderate economies/developing countries the introduction & improvisation of conventional rails and tube/metro trains seems appropriate. Speedy land acquisition process, appropriate technology and functional financial stake sharing remain the areas to be attended on priority for a transformed rail transportation system.
