Best hotel accommodation, conference centres, tourist villages and off-road tourist places of importance remain the prime movers of infrastructure development in the hospitality sector, which includes tourism as well. Tourism – nature, adventure or religion – attracts tourists in abundance. However, religious tourism (pilgrimage) & culture tourism top the list globally which provide substantial foreign exchange to the host countries. The standard hotel accommodation and allied services have to be justifiable with the flow and number of religion and culture tourists. Off-road cultural heritage spots / pilgrimage spots could equally generate good foreign exchange.

If the host countries focus on the hospitality sector infrastructure development, the rate of return on such investments could be assured and encouraging.
