Telecom Network Infrastructure
The telecom sector has undergone phenomenal growth and transformations the world over. The India’s telecom infrastructure / network is second largest in the world with morethan 1.19 billion subscribers as of September, 2024. This massive growth is attributed to liberalised policies of the Indian government and introduction of private stakeholders/players. The liberalised government polices brought about significant changes in the ownership, service and regulation of the national telecommunication infrastructure and network. Broadly, reducing license fee for cellular service providers, expanding telecom services to all the villages including mobile phone penetration, data service demand, digital inclusion etc., and allowing increased stake of 74% to the foreign companies.
Given this evident scenario, the outstanding growth in telecom sector is possible in every country for the good of common public, service providers and the government
